WinDjView is an application which can be used in order to work with DjVU files. These files are similar to PDFs, but they are much more smaller than that type of documents. Such a file can be used in order to link scanned images of books which might contain both text and images. Even if the compression rate is quite high, the tool manages to preserve the quality of the scanned documents.

WinDjView is designed to work with these DjVU files, because not too many universal document readers are compatible. The interface of the app provides support for users that need to open multiple documents at once. There are tabs that appear in the upper area of the screen and they can be clicked in order to switch between multiple documents. The tool has different ways of displaying images with pages, so that users can have a continuous flow or have facing pages displayed at the same time, just as in a book.

WinDjView allows users to zoom in and out of a document, rotate pages and even export chosen ones. Adjustments related to the contrast or the brightness of a document can be performed on the whole file or only on a single page which needs correction. Users can also use the search function in order to find certain words within the file.
