Wappwolf

Wappwolf is a software that offers on-the-fly file conversions. The software is capable of automatically moving the files to other folders, sending out email notifications, tweets and FTP uploading to a pre-defined folder. It thus uses the power of cloud computing and automation. It works on all major cloud providers. Once setup, it runs on its own as and when required.

The software offers a wider range of features in its premium version but the basic does the job just fine for a not so heavy user. To start Wappwolf features, one needs to sync it with his cloud computing account. Once this step is over, a separate folder is created on the user’s cloud. Thereafter the user can set up various automation rules from the ones offered. Whenever a file of a particular type is encountered, the rules are applied accordingly. The user can choose to sync files to his Kindle or convert all image files to jpeg. All changes done with this software can be undone.

Other interesting features are emailing a file, encrypting it, zipping it, sending out tweets, setting Facebook status updates and generating short URL links. The free version offers 10 automation’s and 100 files at 100 MB a day. This is more than sufficient unless one is an avid automation freak who would require more.
