SmartFTP is a powerful FTP client that can be used by professionals and novices with no problems at all. The interface of this utility is clean and uses a blue theme in order to provide a relaxing work environment. The main window is split between two smaller ones and there are several toolbars available in the upper area of the screen. This way, users have quick access to the main tools.

SmartFTP requires a few information from the user in order to establish a FTP connection. The address, the password and the port must be provided so that the application can create a connection between the computer and an online location. After everything is ready, in the right window users will be able to see the online contents and they can start copying files by simply dragging and dropping them.

SmartFTP also works as a local file manager as two offline locations can be worked with in parallel. This way, users have the possibility to work with various folders and transfer files much quicker than by using the classic Windows Explorer interface. There are also other tools included within the app, such as a plain text editor that proves useful when online files have to be edited.
