Pixia is an application that allows users to create various images from scratch with the aid of several tools. The interface of the app contains a series of toolbars that are nicely arranged on the screen and they can freely move. Moreover, more or less of them can be displayed for a better organization or quicker access to functions.

Pixia provides quick access to its main tools right from the main screen and in the lower area of the interface, users can find all of the main drawing tools. Different crayons and brushes are available there and the color palette is also built inside this menu. Users can define custom colors and they can also save them in a special menu for later use. Gradients can be also built and then applied onto a drawing.

Pixia can be used with the aid of the mouse but users can also connect a graphical tablet to the computer. There are different tools that can be edited, such as the brush tool. The edits applied to the brush can be saved and exported as a stand-alone, new type of brush. There is also the possibility to import new drawing tools into the app.
