NextPVR is an video streaming application which is able to provide support for different tasks. The utility has a rather simple installation process and its interface is intuitive, with the main elements being accessible from the left sidebar. Users can easily access thousands of streams, sorted using different categories. They can also import their own streams in order to watch or record them.

NextPVR allows users to record one or more streams at the same time. There are various possibilities and streams can be also recorded automatically by the app. In order for it to do this, users have to schedule tasks. They can give the app a command for a single scheduled recording or continuous ones that take place daily, weekly or at any other given interval.

NextPVR is able to record the desktop, too, either in full screen or just by using a window. This way, games can be recorded or tutorials can be created. There is also the possibility to record from other devices that are connected to the computer. In reverse, users are able to export videos towards different gadgets and devices that are connected to the computer. DVB subtitles can be added to created videos.
