As it can be understood from the name itself that Lock and Hide Folder is a piece of encryption software. This software helps in hiding and locking files and folders from being viewed by unauthorized users while they work on a same computer. It works with administrative privileges itself and thus it is not necessary to run the program always with administrative privileges.

Lock and Hide Folder actually uses 256 bit Blowfish secure encryption, which is by far a difficult one to exploit. Big menu buttons are present at the top of the window, which allows the users to add or delete files and folders to the program for the purpose of unlocking. This tool also allows easy control to remove a folder or file from the lock or hide the list. A master is needed to be provided by the user, where the user need to enter them once, when they start the program. An option is also available to run Lock and Hide Folder to run the program in stealth mode, where the unauthorized users will never get a trace of the program’s existence.

The user will need to enter a key combination to bring the program’s interface. The powerful yet easy application consumes a little amount of space on the drive to function and is programmed to run on all the recent and the latest versions of Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
