EPUBReader is not a stand-alone application, but a browser extension designed for Mozilla Firefox. This allows users to read ebooks directly in their browser. This saves up time as books do not have to be saved locally anymore and sorting a large library is no longer an issue. The extension can be installed within seconds and after the browser is restarted, it will be active.

EPUBReader works whenever an EPUB file is encountered. As users press on such a link, they will not be prompted to download the file anymore. Instead, a new tab will open and the book will be fully displayed in there. There is some space reserved in the left area of the screen so that users can access a few options related to the book.

EPUBReader allows users to design their own color scheme for the books. The color of the page, along with the color of the text can be changed, margins can be defined and fonts can have a different weight. All of these settings are remembered by the extension and they can be changed in the options screen. Users have the possibility to locally store the file by pressing the designated button at the bottom of the screen.
