Abilon is a simple application but it manages to provide quite a lot of functionality as users are able to install it in a matter of seconds and further configuration is achieved within a few mouse clicks. The utility works as a news aggregator and users have the possibility to add their favorite websites to the feed list in order to receive instant updates whenever new posts are published.

Abilon provides support for both ATOM and RSS feeds so that users can bring more websites in the same place. The interface is split between three columns and the first one allows users to organize their feeds according to different criteria as multiple categories can be created. Upon selecting a feed, the second column will display a list of the posts on the website and the last column allows users to read the contents of a certain entry.

Abilon allows users to save their feeds in a single file for later use. Exporting the feed list will provide an OPML file and afterwards, this file can be later imported in the same app on a different computer. Feeds can be refreshed manually or automatically at fixed time intervals defined by the user.
