VSTHost is a small audio editing tool that is designed specifically to work with VST files. These kind of files are effects that can be added onto songs in order to edit them or mix them up. There are a lot of them available on the internet and they all come with configurable parameters. The app itself has a library filled with effects that can be worked with.

VSTHost requires a song file to be loaded first. This file will be displayed on a timeline and there is the possibility to zoom in and out in order to make it easier to work, especially during a live session. The effects are added over the song, but they are managed on a separate timeline, so that users can easily keep track of each one and modify its position with ease, when needed.

VSTHost allows users to gain access to the parameters of VST files by right clicking them and selecting the options menu. Choosing the right settings other than the standard ones might be tricky and require practice, but the app’s simple commands do not make it too hard for users to achieve this. A MIDI player is also added within the app. Music files can be then exported into various formats, including lossless ones, after the VST effects have been added and configured.
