TestDisk & PhotoRec is an application designed to provide support to users who want to solve different issues related to their partitions. The utility is different from others on the market because it does not have a graphical user interface. It relies on a Command Prompt box in order to work and users have to select the options they want from there. TestDisk & PhotoRec makes navigation easy, though, and it can also work in a lot of different ways so that users can keep their computer up and running. They can use this app in order to format partitions and create both NTFS and FAT ones. There is also the possibility to undelete a partition that has been accidentally removed from the computer. Sometimes, MBR data gets corrupted and a partition or a complete hard drive can become unusable. The tool can be booted before the operating system from a flash drive in order to re-write the MBR code onto the partitions in cause. Partition tables can also get corrupted or emptied and TestDisk & PhotoRec can repair them. Logs can be created and saved by the app and a debug mode is also available. The tool is also able to recover files from damaged partitions and save them to a new location.
