Privateer Remake is built using an open source flight simulator, Vega Strike 3D. Using this base, the developers have altered the original game enough in order to create something with a totally new look that you will fully enjoy, especially because the game has very good graphics and the ships are controlled with ease.
The game is also a part of different other projects that gave birth to more games in the same manner, all of them being built on the skeleton of Vega Strike 3D. The game is fully functional and you can even mod it with different ships.
