PhotoScape

PhotoScape is a good image editor that is distributed for free, allowing every computer user to edit images in various ways in order to have an interesting output. There are premium options on the market but they are pricey and they might be more useful to professional works in this domain, but this application is designed to be used with ease by any kind of computer user. The main functions of the tool allow someone to resize and apply various edits to the image file, but there are other settings that can be used.

A circular module selector is something really interesting as it is unique to this tool, and allows users to better import and work with images. Random images can also be grabbed from Flickr but this artifice feature can be turned off if the user does not find it useful. In the left-hand area of the screen the user can find all of the tools available for editing and he can use them on the opened image in order to change its size or even create an animated GIF using it. This task is otherwise difficult but with this tool, it has become more of an automated process.

The editor features various settings, and the most interesting is the possibility of adding different filters to the image in order to create unique effects. Pictures can also be edited with more in-depth tools, and there is a red-eye removal tool which will definitely prove to be useful. Removing moles and other marks of the skin in a portrait is something really easy now, as the application will require only a few mouse clicks in the designated area in order to “clone” the skin from the surroundings area and cover up the unwanted part. A new feature allows users to convert RAW images to more flexible, JPG ones.
