Opera's DC++

Opera’s DC++, also known as ODC++, is a file sharing application that makes use of the peer to peer protocol in order for users to be able to download various elements from a network. As other DC software programs, this one relies on download hubs, and there are provided a few lists which contains hundreds of them. Each hub has users that provide download slots for their files.

Opera’s DC++ has a simple interface and it is easy to start working with it. Users can connect to one or more hubs and they can use the search function to find the needed files. They can wait for the results to appear, as they are displayed constantly, and they can sort files based on their preferences. They can start downloading files by double clicking them and the progress is displayed in the lower area of the interface with the aid of a progress bar.

Opera’s DC++ provides support for file list grabbing. Thus, one can access the whole folder with shared files that another user has on the network. There are also chatting possibilities in the main menus of each hub, in a mIRC style. Users can also choose the colors they want for the app’s skin.
