MemPad is a free tool for taking notes and organizing them in a large, searchable file with structured index that makes file management easy. This structure also enables creating links between saved notes, web pages, network locations and local files and folders. The tool is very compact and portable and you can even change the appearance and settings to suit your choice. You can configure the features like Autosave, Diary support and password protection.
