An easy-to-use but professionally developed cleaning utility, Lavasoft File Shredder’s latest version was released in 2009 and is supported by Windows XP/Vista/2000. It is capable of completely erasing files in the TEMP folder and browser history folder. Intuitively-designed, it allows users to select the files and folders that need to be shredded. Based on the criteria, the files in the specific folders are displayed and users are provided with the choice of the algorithm to be used for file clean-up. The algorithms used for obliterating the files are Department of Defense (DOD), US Army, and HMG infosec. You can also view a log of the shredded files.
