iTunes

iTunes is a lightweight music library management tool that allows users to easily connect their Apple devices in order to add new media files to them. The tool is distributed for free and it has adapted to the market’s requirements, as an iCloud function has been added in order to increase the compatibility between the application itself and various connected devices. This way, a music file is available to all Apple gadgets at once and playback can be resumed on another one if it has been paused on a certain device.

The interface provides various viewing options in order for each user to better find his way throughout the music library and there are new features added, allowing more detailed album views, for example. The search bar has been placed in the upper area of the screen and from here, users can search both in their library and in the online database of iTunes. Data can also be easily synchronized between various devices with the aid of this tool. The media player has been rebuilt in order to bring more flexibility for the user and it will also offer more options that can increase the quality of the playback.

Custom media libraries can be set up making use of local content and everything can be sorted by genre or using various factors. These custom libraries can also be synced with the devices. There are also various plugins available that can increase the tool’s functionality and these are also available for quick download in a special list that sums up their uses. The sidebar has been removed, as a standard, in order to make more room for the actual music library, but users that want it back can easily tick a box in the options panel and the bar will be displayed again.
