Hmonitor

Hmonitor stands for Hardware sensors monitor and it does the same job as the name suggests. It makes use of the sensor chips located on the smart motherboards in order to track the CPU and system temperatures, cooling fans and voltages. If you can catch an overheated computer quickly, it is possible to prevent disasters like damage and system instability. This tool helps you with this. It is lightweight, resides in the system tray and works silently to monitor the parameters continually. You can click the program icon in the system tray at any time to view the values for each of the components in real time.

The program’s function is not limited to this. Once it detects an overheated system state, it can carry out various tasks. Firstly, it can initiate an audio alarm, shut the system down or can execute a selected app like sending out an email to system administrator. The app is also capable of logging the information to a file saved on the hard drive. You can set the ‘red zone’ and ‘yellow zone’ temperatures for CPU and motherboard from the settings menu. It also lets you set a minimum fan RPM before issuing warning. Moreover, it is possible to adjust the thresholds and nominal values for voltage parameters.
