fTalk is a Facebook chat client which brings every online friend to one’s desktop for easier access. The tool features a simple installation process and after this is finished, users can launch the tool right from the system tray, as it will stay minimized and consume almost no resources at all. Whenever a new message is received, a notification appears in the lower right corner of the screen and users can also hear a sound, depending on the options they chosen in the Preferences panel.

Friends are grouped by fTalk in the most basic way, by their online or offline status. However, upon right clicking of the users, people can choose to still send a message or visit the Facebook profile of the certain person. The chat box is as simple as it gets and it features the avatars of both chat participants in the left side of the window. On the right side users can see the messages, accompanied by a time stamp.

fTalk tries to keep itself as simple as possible and users do not have too many in-depth options that can be edited. Users just have to connect their Facebook account with the app through a secure connection and every message they send will be pushed with ease to the Facebook account of the other participant.
