A product that has been designed and developed by Jan Dolinay, DesktopSave is a backup and restoration utility that is intended to help users implement backups of their desktop settings and icons. A free to use software application, you can implement this tool in various Windows based systems such as Windows 2000, 7, XP, and Vista versions. With this utility, you will be able to implement backups of your screen resolutions, desktop icons position, and gamma settings. Each user could probably have different desktop settings; therefore, this tool saves each of these user settings as individual SAV files. These files are saved in the Application’s folder in the file name created as [machinename]_desktop_[username].sav.
